In January 2011, as a part of the preparations for ADONIS:CE 2.0, we invited  ADONIS Community members to fill out a survey.
The feedback was awesome: we gathered over 200 responses, mostly very positive about ADONIS:CE, with some interesting user stories.
We would like to thank all participants. It was great to see what users like about ADONIS:CE; most stating that they liked its ease of use and professional features.
The two most popular requests for the new ADONIS:CE were the addition of BPMN 2.0 and Visio support. We're glad to fulfill the first wish with this release. For all Visio users - stay tuned. Soon we will have interesting news for you too...

ADONIS:Community Edition 2.0 comes with improved installation routine that does not require the manual installation of a database engine.
To install ADONIS:CE simply run setup.exe from your installation package.
It will check for the existence of database engines and install one if necessary. If there are already database instances that ADONIS:CE can connect to, you may be asked for a password.
ADONIS:Community Edition 2.0 may be installed side by side with ADONIS:CE 1.0.
If you plan to migrate models created in ADONIS:CE 1.0 to the new release you will need to export them to an ADL file, and import them into ADONIS:CE 2.0 with the option "Import objects from previous A:CE version" enabled.
